Blackberry Treats Mmm!
The most beautiful, friendly, natural & wild campsite. Loved every bit. Pitches are secluded, nestling in wild meadows. Ours had delicious blackberries running behind and a wonderful sunset/rise. Eco toilet/shower/kitchen block brand new and lovely. Decor at the ‘Beehive’ gorgeous. James the most welcoming and wonderful host. Area around SO beautiful. Will be back many times over the years I’m sure

We spotted the Barn Owl
“We found the Birds & Bees campsite on Cool Camping, and what a find: Birds and Bees is a beautiful campsite nestled within a gorgeous setting, hosted by the most welcoming of owners, James and Emma. A handful of pitches, set within the wild grass meadows of their farm, the place really makes you feel like you’ve found wilderness. Our kids loved running through the mown pathways, exploring all the nature on offer. James was always on hand to help , whatever the ask, and even managed to provide us with a foot pump once we realised we’d left ours at home! The facilities are excellent, all brand new, and the coast is a mere 15 minute drive from the site. We cooked on the fire pit each night, and stared in amazement as a magnificent barn owl swooped low across our field while we waited for our sausages to cook. A lovely long weekend, full of good memories that will stay with us for a long time. We’ll be back, without a shadow of doubt.”

A Family’s Joy
This campsite was perfect for our family of four. We loved it how we felt like we were camping in the middle of nowhere but we could also stick the kettle on for a proper cup of tea in the morning and have a lovely hot shower! The kids could run around and play safely and it was really peaceful. Thank you for a great weekend!

As described by our guests
We found this place by pure chance, and what a beauty! James was beyond helpful with advice pre booking, to meeting us when we got there and on hand for any questions during our stay. The whole campsite had an amazing atmosphere which no doubt was influenced by the warm greetings we all received. The site itself gives you all the space and peace of wild camping, with brand new spotless facilities close by. The pitches are cut into the meadow so when you look out of the tent all you see is nature. We don’t usually believe in returning to campsites, because we love exploring new places. However, we’ve just booked to go back in 2 weeks. My brother and his girlfriend never camp, and I can’t think of any site better to make you fall in love with camping!

And we are open!
We are a family run Eco Campsite in the heart of Suffolk’s Alde Valley. We pride ourselves in offering spacious pitches with real campfires on secluded ancient pastures, you’ll be surrounded by giant hedges, mature trees and an abundance of wildlife.
Wind turbines help to generate electricity and solar panels help to heat the water. We work in partnership with Natural England and the Forestry Commission planting wild flower and nectar plots, encouraging a wide variety of birds and bees!
Experience real camping with the luxury of plush showers, toilets and kitchen facilities in our converted dairy buildings. Feel free to contact one of the family with any questions, we look forward to welcoming you at Birds and Bees Campsite.
