We’ve really loved our stay

Underline

We’ve really loved our stay at Birds and Bees for so many reasons! Beautiful peaceful location, loads of exploring for kids, with amazing facilities that have clearly been well thought out. Such a fantastic 3 days in the area and so close to lovely places for days out. James and Emma are such lovely, friendly and helpful hosts. We will definitely stay again and spread the word! Honestly is one of the best campsites I’ve stayed at!

Quiet back to basics camping with nice amenities.

Although you are in a field with just a few people, approx 4 per field you still have some fabulous toilets, washing and shower facilities just a 100 yards away. These are spotless and because so few can be on the site then you never wait. Owners were helpful and their if needed but also non fussy. Area is Lovely, pub 0.8 miles away with great food. Only 10 miles out to the coast and I say the nicest part of Suffolk rather than the same old in southwold. This does get booked up with a lot of people returning so don’t think you can book last minute and get in. The site is also very respectful of families etc so drunk and rowdy with loud music will not be allowed so if this is you then book elsewhere. Incredibly safe environment for children with lots to do around the site, all areas are accessible away from any cars. All in all a great visit and thanks to the owners for hanging onto that off grid feel, environmentally friendly as it can be but also offering the option of warm showers and a kitchen if you just can’t manage the hole wild thing!

Total tranquility

Underline
Just back from an absolutely blissful couple of days at Birds & Bees. James and Emma have created an idyllic experience. Huge mown circles each with its own firepit are hewn from tall grass containing nesting song birds. There is lots of space between pitches and the overall feeling is of expansive relaxation. The facilities are superb. Modern clean showers & toilets, a functional kitchen area complete with fridge freezer (a pen and labels are thoughtfully supplied) and farm fresh eggs & meat are all available at “The Beehive” and there is is a beautifully decorated composting loo at the point the three meadows meet (never has defecating into a hole seemed so glamorous). Their No Dogs, No Cars on site rules appear draconian at first but within a few hours as your ears fill with bird song and little else you realise that they are vital to the experience. Emma and James are very welcoming themselves and manage to pull off the seemingly impossible dichotomy of being always instantly on hand and yet never intrusive. We had an absolutely blissful time and are eager to return.

Wild Foraging at Birds & Bees Campsite!

Underline

We had a brilliantly interesting morning at the campsite yesterday as Vivia from Sciapod Dairy came to tour a lovely group of guests around the meadows and hedgerows, we discovered all sorts of treats, tales and mysteries. Thanks so much to Vivia for her endless expertise and enthusiasm on the subject, thanks also to everyone that came along the feedback from grown ups & children alike has been so positive and we are looking forward to hosting another Foraging event in the early Autumn when nature will provide us with a whole host of new discoveries
