The Beehive (Reception)

Underline

Our main building, affectionately known as The Beehive is somewhere we’ve created to make your stay as comfortable as possible if total wild camping is a step too far!

From our Reception where you can plan your day or indulge in the Honey Pot (our little honesty shop) to the kitchen and showers, The Beehive is the hub of the campsite for all your essential supplies and services.

The Tree Bog

Underline

Just for a little convenience we have a composting toilet situated centrally among our camping meadows for night time trips to the toilet, drinking water and an electrical hook up.

As we allow real campfires right on your pitch we provide a water bucket (please collect at check-in) for each pitch to keep full when the fire is alight.

The Gear Drop

Underline

Before leaving your car in our our sunken car park by the Beehive we’ve provided an area that’s closer to all the camping pitches to drop your gear.

There’s a selection of trolleys & Wheelbarrows for you to transport your things to your pitch, as there is no access for cars or trailers to the meadows.

What about a Kitchen?

Underline

We provide 2 x washing up areas with lots of hot water, there’s also a fridge freezer, a kettle and a microwave.  We’ve also installed a ‘Sand Sink’ for rinsing your beach ware so the sand doesn’t block our drains.

Drinking water is available from the tap just outside the kitchen and at the Tree Bog, central to all three meadow.

What’s for supper?

We’re lucky enough to have some of the finest local producing farmers in our county and we’re proud to support their hard work by providing a selection of delicious meat in our Reception freezer at the Beehive.  Remember to get it out in the morning so it’s ready for your campfire feast that evening.

We also grow a selection of fresh herbs for you to pick and season your supper with!

And if that wasn’t enough we’ve also been making Luxury Ice Cream for over 30 years and some of our best flavours are available for you to enjoy, yum yum

Electric sockets

Although not located at each pitch, there are sockets available in the main building and at the Tree Bog.

The Interweb

We hope by the end of your stay that you’ll have forgotten about the internet, but the signal is decent on most networks at the Beehive with 4G available, you’ll be lucky to get signal down on the camping meadows though.

10 minute drive for our local town, Saxmundham with a selection of mainstream shops

There is also good pub grub and a village shop with Cafe, just 1 mile away
